The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a partnership between parents and educators who strive to enhance student learning and enrich the lives of the students within the college campus. It is also a forum for parents to obtain knowledge and voice their opinions about what is happening in their college. To promote good relationship among the members of the teaching staff, students and parents/guardians of the students Thiruthangal Nadar College initiated PTA. This PTA works with the Principal, Staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnership of home and school.

OBJECTIVES

• Promotes the welfare of the students in home, college and community and to raise the education standards of the individuals
• Facilitates collaboration between educators and the general public to secure for all students and the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
• To consider ways in which PTAs can make visible the learner’s process of construction of knowledge, including gains in subject knowledge and epistemological shifts (and refer them to longer term development).
